Best Destinations in Malaysia
The Top, Komtar, Penang is one of my top 5 best destinations to visit in Malaysia. There is the Rainbow Skywalk where you can walk on glass bridge and see the amazing view of Penang from the top. This is a fun-filled place for the whole family because there are many other attractions such as the Penang Boutique Aquarium where you can see many types of fishes, Jurassic Research Center to learn more about dinosaurs, Tech Dome Penang which is like a science center, Dino Gym for the younger kids to play, Penang State Gallery, and lots of interesting rides. My family spent the whole day here and it felt like we did not have enough time to experience everything because there were so many attractions here. This is definitely a great place for families with children to visit.
Genting Highlands, Pahang is a very beautiful place by nature. My family and I love the cable car ride to Resorts World Genting where we can see the beautiful place in a cool environment. Besides the Theme Park, Snow World, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum, games and rides for the whole family, there is also Awana Bio Park where you can step into fresh air and go back to nature. There are different trails designed to highlight the special aspects of the mountain forests of Genting Highlands. This is the best place to learn more about rainforest, pitcher plants, birds, insects, animals and more. Definitely a great place for nature lovers to explore and be adventurous.
Another top best destinations to visit in Malaysia is beautiful Redang Island. This is the most amazing beach with white sand, crystal clear water and various fishes that swim so near visitors. It’s a great place to go scuba diving or snorkeling where you can see sea creatures and even baby sharks. You can play beach volleyball, relax on the hammock or just sit and let the sea breeze blow onto your face. The sunrise and sunset views are so mesmerizing too. My children and I had a lot of fun exploring and we took many photos for remembrance.
Another great destination to visit for families with children is Legoland, Johor. This place brings lots of happiness to children because there are many fun family rides and also roller coaster rides. Children can use their imagination to build Lego bricks and play here. There is also the Water Park with lots of water slides and Sea Life Aquarium for more family fun. The Legoland Hotel is one of the best hotels my family has ever stayed in. We loved the themed rooms with different designs and the treasure hunt where children can unlock the safety box in the room for some souvenirs. The most unique place at Legoland is the Miniland which is a miniature version of Asia’s iconic landmarks all build with Lego bricks.
One of the unique and cultural places to visit is Batu Caves, Selangor. This place has limestone hills and cave temples. The cave is dedicated to Lord Murugan and is the focal point for Thaipusam festival celebration where pilgrimages walk carrying pots of milk but pierced their skin, cheeks and tongues with skewers. To reach the cave temple, visitors need to climb 272 steps. On the way, visitors can see monkeys hanging around there. Some people come here to exercise by going up and down the stairs.
