Experience Miami the Right Way

Experience Miami the Right Way

Even in winter, when you expect everything to be covered with a thick layer of snow, you can always count on Miami for sunny weather. The most popular city in Florida is one of the warmest and friendliest places you can visit, but it can be a little overwhelming due to the sheer number of attractions it offers.

If you want to soak up the glamour instead of getting lost in its glittery chaos, you need to know where to go and what to see. Luckily, we’re here with a little guide that should help you get your bearings when you come to Miami and enjoy it to its fullest potential.

Find the right place to stay

If you want to experience Miami culture to the max, then staying somewhere in Miami Beach is practically a must. The Faena Hotel should be your first choice if you’re not afraid of colorful luxury and want to stay at a place where every guest seems to be a fashionista and every decoration screams over-the-top, loud style.

For something more subtle and restful, you can choose Palihouse, which is charmingly decorated and full of cozy amenities, or maybe 1 Hotel South Beach, which offers access to many relaxing programs for the tired traveler.

Go on a guided tour

There’s a lot to see. Even if you write down a list of things to visit and make a plan, it’s likely you’ll get lost or miss some important locations. That’s why scheduling Miami sightseeing tours can be a great way to experience this bustling city without getting overwhelmed.

You can schedule an Everglades tour if you want to see a lush national park, full of fascinating wildlife. It’s a particularly fun tour for families with kids, but anyone can get on board and have fun.

Scout Insta-worthy locations

If you’re not a fan of Instagram this can simply be a way to see some cool locations. If you’re an Instagram guru in the making, then scouting these few locations will fill up your feed with hot, unique photos.

Start by walking down the Ocean Drive to see some colorful 1920’s like architecture that will make the perfect backdrop for a summer fashion shoot, and then go to Wynwood neighborhood to see wild, colorful graffiti and take a few snaps. South Beach and Miami Beach are also great spots, and if you want an explosion of pink, dream-like scenery, go to the famous Big Pink diner where every decoration is, you guessed it, totally pink!

Enjoy some Renaissance-era culture

Here’s a stunning place to visit: the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. This early 20th century villa is enormous and styled in Renaissance-era architecture, with the enormous gardens being the prominent part of the estate.

Inside the villa, you can find works of art from 16th and 19th century displayed along the halls, and the whole place has an opulently artistic atmosphere that will capture your heart. Not to mention how soothing it is to walk the gardens and take in the greenery.

Stand in awe before the Museum of Science

The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is one of the biggest museums in Miami, and it’s the perfect spot for anyone who’s even remotely interested in science or nature. It’s a particularly fun place to visit with kids, and it’s going to take you all day to see all that it has to offer.

There’s a 500,000-gallon aquarium full of brightly-colored fish, and there are numerous interactive exhibits and guided tours on anything from the wonders of the human body to the staggering beauty of the cosmos.

Go on a shopping spree

It would be a little strange to go to one of the shopping capitals of the world and not indulge in a bit of glamorous shopping. Lincoln Road Mall, also known as the “Fifth Avenue of the South,” is the perfect place to update your wardrobe with the hottest Miami fashions and lounge at charming cafes as you watch people strut by you.

There are innumerable boutiques and attractions to enjoy here, so if you’re hungry for a classic American experience done in a Miami style, this is where you need to be.

No matter the season you decide to go on our trip, Miami is always bound to be warm, friendly, and lively. Now that you know which places to see, it’s time to start planning your vacation!
