Florida Vacay

Florida Vacay

Many non-local travellers would prefer New York City, Los Angeles, Hawaii and many more as their vacation goals in America, the land of the free. I concede their point, but I also would to encourage you to add Florida as your destination goal too. It really depends on one’s preference when choosing where to go for a getaway trip. Florida for instance has a sub-tropical weather, perfect for any person who wants to get away from winter season or just in love with hot and sunny climate. Florida has so much to offer visitors other than its bountiful sunshine. Wherever you are in Florida you ‘re always one short trip to the beach. It is also an ideal place for family trips with kids where you can enjoy both Walt Disney World and Universal Studios in the same area.

My friends and I spent about 8 days in Florida on summer break. We had the most memorable time while we were there. We started from Central Florida and drove down south to Florida Keys. I would love to share some of my pictures of places we’ve been at.

Orlando

Disney World

Disney World has 4 theme parks and 2 water parks. Due to limited time and budget, we only spent one day at one of the theme parks which is Disney Epcot. We went there on May so we got to see the annual international flower and garden festival.

Epcot offers a lot of rides, world showcase where you can visit 11 countries at a time, meet Disney’s cartoon characters and many more!

My rating: 7.5/10

If you’ve been to other Disney Land, definitely should go to Epcot because they have more attractions to see around. For kids and adult who loves Disney movies, or never been to any Disney Land, you should choose The Kingdom park instead. Overall, it was worth the time and money.

Universal Studios

Orlando’s Universal Studio in Orlando was the best US I’ve ever been. It was really magnificent, comprises with 3 different parks. We spent the day at two parks: Universal Studios and Island of Adventure. I was a huge fan of Harry Potter and those two parks has two different HP attractions which are Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, so we chose to buy tickets for two parks for a day.

To transfer between two parks, you will get the chance to ride Hogwarts Express from Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade and vice versa.

Marvel Superhero Island

There’s a lot of other areas to explore at both parks. There’s Minion Mayhem, Shrek 4D, Transformers, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, The Simpsons and so much more. We got the express pass so we were able to ride so much 3D rides on the day. My rating: 9/10 I’ve had so much fun on that day. There’s a lot of amazing things USO could offer especially the experience for Harry Potter’s fans out there. My advice is definitely go during the off season to avoid crowdedness. When ever you go, just make sure to plan ahead your trip like transportation (parking), food (some food is allowed in Universal Studios) if you want to save some money.

Miami

Rooftop view of the hotel

We stayed at this hotel called Marseille Hotel in Miami Beach. It is an oceanfront hotel with access to private beach right outside the hotel. We mostly stayed at our hotel for some relaxing time so there’s not a lot of pictures in Miami. however the beaches are absolutely wonderful. you can enjoy sunbathing, swimming in the ocean, or play beach volleyball.

The Wynwood Walls

We had the chance to visit the famous wall art in Miami. It is basically a neighborhood with a lot famous graffitis and murals. All of the arts were so amazing and there’s no admission fee!

Florida Keys

the famous tourist spot in Key West is this bouy. This concrete bouy marks the most southernmost point in the continental of the USA.

Watching sunset at Mallory Square while listening street performers busking to good music with great company. The view was fantastic from this square.

Overall, the trip was fun and enjoyable. I’ve had the most fun when we were in Florida. The people are friendly and they serve very good food. One of the famous dessert that you should try is key lime pie. I was very skeptical about it before because I’m not a fan of sweet pie but the server at this one restaurant strongly suggested us to try it and it was so beyond my expectation. If you ever decide to go to Florida, please do try it and also, please don’t hesitate to spend money on food. The seafood here was amazing I had to ignore my seafood allergy. I hope you enjoy my sharing in here. Do comment if you ever have any questions, I’m not an expert but I’ll try my best.
