Langkawi 3D2N Itinerary

Langkawi 3D2N Itinerary

Langkawi is a very beautiful place to visit. I have been to Langkawi before and would love to visit again. There are many things to see and do there with your family. Lots of good food to eat as well. If you are planning a short 3D2N vacation in Malaysia, you can consider visiting the beautiful Langkawi island because you will love it there. My family prefers to fly there because it is more convenient. Try to plan ahead when there are cheaper flight ticket promotions. Once you reach the airport, you can rent a car for about RM 60.00 per day and start your exciting journey. Langkawi is a small island and there are not many cars, so it is easy to drive around without getting lost. Dining and hotel stay would depend on individual’s budget.

Day 1

Crocodile Adventureland Langkawi

If you reach Langkawi in the morning, you can visit Crocodile Adventureland Langkawi which is the largest crocodile farm in Malaysia according to the Malaysia Book Of Records. The family package entrance ticket for 2 adults and 2 children was RM 110. My family learnt a lot here after our guided tour. If you come here, make sure you check their crocodile show time, feeding time and jumping time. These are the activities you should not miss. When you visit Crocodile Adventureland Langkawi, make sure you watch the breath-taking show at 11.15am or 2.45pm.  My heart was pumping fast when I saw a man put his hand into the crocodile’s mouth for 10 seconds. He also kissed the crocodile.

When you are here at Crocodile Adventure Langkawi, you can feed crocodiles with a piece of tasty meat tied to a rod. We were asked to hold on tight to the rod and see the crocodiles jump high to snap the meat. I could feel the weight of the crocodile as I pulled up the rod when the meat was in its mouth. Each of my family members fed the crocodiles and it was an unforgettable experience.

The best part that my family would never forget is our experience holding a small crocodile in our hands and taking memorable photos with it. There are photographers there to snap photos and print them out for you.

Langkawi Eagle Square

After lunch, you can visit the popular Langkawi Eagle Square also known as ‘Dataran Lang’ which is located at Kuah Town and next to the jetty. It is the best known man-made sculpture of a large eagle ready to take off. Crocodile Adventureland Langkawi. The 12 meter tall statue is one of the island’s most recognizable monuments. You can take a walk to see the beautiful landscape here and take many beautiful photos of the amazing scenic view.

Langkawi Black Sand Beach

Have you ever seen a black sand beach before? It was my first time seeing black sand at Langkawi Black Sand Beach. This is a popular tourist attraction because of its unique color of the sand. If your family loves to play at beaches and build sand castles, come here to see something unique, black color sand. There are also many watersports activities you can play at the Langkawi beaches. One of them is the parasailing which I have tried before. I love the view from the top while the wind was blowing at me. It was an awesome experience and I would love to do it again.

After a long and tired day, it would feel great to have dinner and relax at the hotel room.

Day 2

Langkawi Cable Car Ride and Sky Bridge

If you enjoy seeing beautiful scenery from above, you will enjoy the Langkawi Cable Car Ride. This cable car ride takes you to the top of Mount Mat Chinchang for a birds eye view of Langkawi. Take a breathtaking walk along the Langkawi Sky Bridge to experience the awesome view. Ticket price for Malaysian adult is RM 43 and child is RM33.

You can easily spend half a day here because there are many other activities and rides you can do. You can pet cute rabbits, visit Sky Dome, Sky Rex, take beautiful and creative photos at the 3D Art Museum. My family had a lot of fun taking the 3D Art photos here.

Underwater World Langkawi

After lunch, you can visit another top attraction, the Underwater World Langkawi. There were many species of fish, sea creatures, snakes, iguanas, birds, marmosets, seals, penguins and lots more. My children and I were fascinated seeing all these animals and sea creatures. This is a highly recommended place for families with children and those who love marine life and animals. There was the tropical rain forest section where you can see different types of birds and even marmoset (the smallest monkey). This area was outdoor covered with a glass ceiling and there were lots of trees just like in the tropical rain forest. We also saw penguins in the air conditioned area.

Something fascinating caught my attention, something I have never seen before. It was the Albino Axolotl Salamander. These are not fish but amphibians and they looked so cute. These are mostly found in Mexico.

There were a few souvenir shops outside the Underwater World Langkawi where you can buy souvenirs, chocolates, snacks and other things. My family enjoyed our visit to Underwater World Langkawi very much. It was very educational for us and we learnt a lot that day. We would love to come back and visit again. In the evening, it would probably be fun to head back to the hotel to enjoy swimming in the hotel pool, have dinner and get a good nights sleep.

Day 3

If you have some time before heading to the airport, there are a few more places of attractions in Langkawi namely Langkawi Wildlife Park, Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls, Rice Museum, Dayang Bunting Island, Langkawi Night Market, Atma Alam Batik Village and Mahsuri’s Tomb. We did not have time to visit these places then and hope to come and visit Langkawi again for some family fun adventure!
