Following Different River Valleys

The next viewpoint is the Tengboche hill. Trekking ahead after Namche Bazaar on the next day, you will spend your night in this place. Some trekkers only do a trek just up to this place to see Everest and back to Kathmandu which is known as Everest view short trek. You will have another great view of the Himalaya from Nangkar-Tsang hill when you will have the second acclimatization rest day at Dingboche. Today you will see so many big mountains including the Mt. Makalu. This mountain is the fourth highest mountain in Nepal and fifth in the world. You will never see this mountain from other places while you are on the Everest base camp trek.
The best viewpoint on this trek is Kala Patthar. It is a hill station with an altitude of 5550m above sea level. You can see the nearest view of Everest and many other high mountains all around from this hill. Climbing this hill is pretty tuff but it will be worth doing it.
Everest Base Camp
Visiting the Everest base camp is one of the main goals to the visitors. The base camp is located at the bottom of Mt. Everest but you cannot see well the Everest from the base camp. The elevation of the Everest base camp is 5364m and it is not only the base camp to climb Everest. The climbers to climb Lhotse also use the same base camp.
There are lots of ice under the base camp which you can see melting. Spring is a climbing season to Everest so you can see lots of tents of climbers at the base camp.
